Meeting in the middle.
The middle is the balance. We look for this balance in every aspect of our lives.
I've had a lot of trouble with this lately. I haven't met my surroundings in the middle. From my work place, to school, to social aspects. My balance be all out of whack. But that's about to change.
To find balance, you have to find perspective--a positive perspective, that stays true and genuine to who you are and the things you wish to accomplish.
Guess what helps me most to find that balance??????
CLOTHES. FASHION. ART. EXPRESSION.
(Ya already know).
Fashion encompasses all cultures on every level. From your mood, to personality, to career, to environment, to religion, to beliefs, to activities, and so on.
Not everyone encompasses all of this in their clothes, others express these cultures about themselves through other outlets.
As for me though, Fashion is the perfect communication tool because it encompasses almost everything about myself by using one tool... Clothes/fashion.
Which is why I need a revamping. A revamping of myself and my values. I've been in funk for awhile, but I am slowly figuring out me again, me and my personal culture, beliefs, and values.
I'm going to have a more polished look of my lately, 'hippishness' I guess you could say. I do have belief that "Love and Peace are Eternal." (Thank you John Lennon, my spirit animal) but I'm more than that. I value my education and the knowledge I have gained and experienced here Slippery Rock University. I also value my PR/Marketing job at the library even though it hasn't gone too well so far. But in respect to having that job, I value being professional. Which I've lost sight of a lot lately. Professionalism is a respect. I respect that I have for myself and others.
My new look will be my new perspective. My culture I have created. I'll be posing pictures here of my own personal culture journey and on my twitter @LexC_93. Let me know if you're feelin' what I am portraying as my culture. Feedback is totes welcomed! I would love that. People reconfirm a lot for me. That way I know other perspectives are understanding me as well.
Keep it you, and express it whatever way you enjoy!
